A few things about me

DR. AMANDA SCHWAIT

MY PRACTICE

Hi, I’m Amanda
Being a therapist is one of the greatest privileges of my life. Over the past decade, I’ve worked closely with adults who are ready to make meaningful changes—whether they’re navigating anxiety, going through a major life transition, or simply feeling stuck in old patterns they’re ready to outgrow.

My approach is warm, informal, and grounded in deep respect for each person’s unique path. Clients often describe me as compassionate, curious, and collaborative—with a steady supply of metaphors and the occasional well-timed laugh. I believe therapy should feel both safe and expansive, a place where real insight and change can happen.

I earned my doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Florida in 2014, and I’ve spent the years since focused on helping people create lives that feel more aligned, whole, and well. My work blends evidence-based practices with a holistic lens, honoring the connection between mind, body, and spirit.

I’ve also been a dedicated yoga practitioner for over 20 years. That practice deeply informs my approach to therapy—teaching me that healing isn’t just mental; it’s physical, emotional, and energetic. Mental wellness, to me, means coming back into balance on every level.

If you’re seeking a therapist who will meet you with honesty, compassion, and creativity, I’d love to connect.
